The Rorick Heritage Vineyard is a magical place. Located just outside the town of Murphys in the Sierra Foothills, these vines are children of the 70's, planted on their own roots amongst stunning outcroppings of limestone and shist. This is not your typical California Chardonnay, rather a riff on the alpine expressions of the varietal in the foothills of France: rocks and white flowers on the nose, electric green apple and pear are rounded out by a subtle texture, and framed by a punch of umami.
